New Studio Setup
I’ve spent the last couple weeks re-arranging my place to better suit my work-flow. Tonight I put on the finishing touches (hanging the absolutely necessary wall art). Here’s a pic of how I was setup before (taken about 7 or 8 months ago):
So I basically ripped apart my whole place and moved all the furniture around, taking the studio out of my bedroom and out into what used to be my living room, as you can see here:
I really like this setup, as it serves as a cool place just to hang (I can lay on the couch and play bass, etc.), plus the open setup works better for collaborations and jams with other people, specifically my buddy Kyle who likes to pound on the pads while I sit over at the keys or operate the computer. I like the vibe in this room too, contrary to some peoples’ opinions on the choice of colour, I find with the right lighting at night it’s a nice, warm, inviting place to be.
You may notice the addition of some gear in the second picture. I have picked up a few new toys, both hardware and software, over the last year or so. To name a few:
